The audience will thrill to Londoner Poppy Ajudha and her protest music at Gros Ilet. The night will end at Rodney Bay with Alphonso Horne, the iconic trumpeter playing in the footsteps of Louis Amstrong, reinventing New Orleans sound in contemporary tones. This artist, twice nominated at the Grammys, will perform with The Gotham Kings.
THE “GODMOTHER OF SOUL”. ~ On May 8, American singer, songwriter and actress Patti LaBelle, called the “Godmother of soul”, will be the headliner. Martinique pianist Maher Beauroy, honored by the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston (USA), will offer energizing music with brio and his natural joy. On the same day, American singer Shelea will perform at Gros Ilet Park, along with international artist Willie Jones.
